New York (October 17, 2013) – On Tuesday, October 15, 2013 Blue Horizon Charitable Foundation (BHCF) hosted its second annual fundraising gala at Guastavino’s in New York, NY. The foundation’s dedication to increase the awareness of global inequality in healthcare attracted hundreds of supporters including many celebrities. Celebrities like the world’s first supermodel, Janice Dickinson, “The Sopranos” stars Vincent Pastore and Lou Martini Jr., actors Tony Lo Bianco, Julianne Michelle, Tina Louise, Miss New York Stephanie Jill Chernick, “Million Dollar Listing” star Luis D. Ortiz, Ramona Singer of “Real Housewives of New York,” “Dancing With the Stars” winner Anna Demidova, and Mr. Olympia participant, Anton Antipov attended this spectacular event. Additionally, Ambassador H. E. Francis Lorenzo was a guest for the evening.

“We are so grateful for the many contributions and the tremendous support that we received during our gala,” says Dr. Brian Mehling, co-founder and chairman of the board at Blue Horizon Charitable Foundation. It’s this kind of support that allows us to fund and provide medical treatments globally.”

The evening began with a red carpet reception and cocktail hour, followed by a silent auction, dinner and presentations. There was also a patient testimonial preview followed by the evening’s entertainment, Lady Rizo. The key note speakers for the evening were Patty Hillkirk, founder and director of Camp Dreamcatcher and Rev Dr. Ben Tumuheirwe, founder and director of Juna Amagara Ministries in Uganda; both organizations are dedicated to providing resources for children infected or affected by HIV/AIDS.

Blue Horizon Charitable Foundation considers the gala a huge success, and yet another opportunity to make its mission known and provide medical care for patients throughout the world. Mehling stated, “We want to promote and enhance the quality of medical care to those in need and I am honored that so many people came to support this cause in hopes that we can really make a difference in the world.”

The Blue Horizon Charitable Foundation has been providing medical care and training around the world for several years, successfully treating patients utilizing innovative medical techniques. The foundation is dedicated to growing the awareness of global inequality in healthcare by raising capital to support orphanages and medical centers in impoverished areas, and funding the medicines that are so vital to basic human survival. Blue Horizon Foundation also provides the latest biomedical treatments through their stem cell research program.
