Katarina Novakova, Director of Relations
Katarina Novakova was born and raised in Slovakia. She holds a Master’s Degree in Economics, with a focus in Business Management from University of Economics in Bratislava.
She is fluent in English, Czech and Slovak, and has a basic understanding of the Polish language.
Her passion for traveling and learning about new cultures brought her to New York City, where she has lived for more than 10 years. Katarina is involved in the Slovak community in New York. She also volunteers for Maya’s Hope, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and other organizations focused on helping children in need. In addition, she serves as a Trustee in the United Parish of St. John Nepomucene, St. Frances Cabrini and St. John the Martyr in New York City.
In March 2014, Ms. Novakova was the recipient of the Achievement Award for her extraordinary achievements and community empowerment and presented with a plaque from the
Society of Foreign Consuls (SoFC) in New York City, in the presence of Slovak Consul General, other diplomats and a US Congress Representative.
